On the evening of July 5, 2024, Crescent Mall security guards discovered and temporarily detained two individuals committing theft at a store in the mall. The incident was quickly reported and handed over to the Tan Phu Ward Police.
In the initial verification, the two individuals admitted they were D.T.T. (born in 1999) and D.N.H.M. (born in 1998), a married couple temporarily residing in Nha Be County, Ho Chi Minh City. They confessed to having committed multiple thefts at the store. Specifically, on July 2, 2024, they stole a gray bag containing two mobile phones, car keys, and student documents. On July 4, 2024, they stole an iPhone 7 from the same shop. On July 5, 2024, when they returned to the shop, they were discovered by Crescent Mall security.
