From April 18 to April 21, 2024, at 9:00 to 21:00, Lawrence S. Ting Foundation will organize an exhibition of paintings by children with disabilities, themed “Beyond Barriers” at the Family Garden (No. 28, Thao Dien Ward, District 2, Ho Chi Minh City). The exhibition aims to show paintings by children from special education schools in Vietnam. Each painting not only reflects the children’s passion and resilience in overcoming life’s challenges but also highlights their strength and artistic talent.
An experiential area will be dedicated to “Developmental Disabilities” using the Montessori method combined with electrical impulses to provide insight into the learning, sensory, and cognitive difficulties faced by children with disabilities.
In addition to enjoying the paintings, attendees will have the opportunity to deepen their understanding of various types of disabilities, fostering greater community empathy and support.
The exhibition has absolutely no entry fee and the proceeds from painting sales will be directed back to special education schools as part of the Foundation’s “Our Better Angels” project for disabled children.
