On July 25, 2024, a burglary occurred at a house in Hung Thai 2 Complex, Phu My Hung, Tan Phong Ward, District 7. The incident happened while the homeowner was away. The housekeeper discovered the back door had been pried open and immediately reported it to security. Phu My Hung Security and Tan Phong Ward Police arrived at the scene to handle the situation. Upon inspecting the scene, the police found the bedroom ransacked, with many valuables missing, including 3 Rolex watches, jewelry, and a large sum of money, totaling approximately VND 2 billion.
Through camera footage from the Phu My Hung Security Team’s monitoring center, authorities identified the following information: on the evening of July 24, 2024, a white car with license plate 51K… appeared at the house. Three young men got out of the car, and one of them broke into the house at 21:17. The individual left the house and got back into the car at 21:34. The camera data also showed that this car had appeared in Phu My Hung several times before.
Based on the obtained information, using professional measures, the police tracked and arrested two of the suspects while they were hiding in District 1, HCMC on July 25. Initial verification revealed that both suspects were foreign nationals. The police are continuing to handle the case and search for the remaining suspect.
By July 30, 2024, the remaining suspect, also a foreign national, was detained by Phu My Hung Security in coordination with Tan Phong Ward Police.
