On the morning of October 8, 2024, the Lawrence S. Ting Foundation donated 10 sets of computers and printers with a total value of nearly VND 128 million to Nha Be Hospital, contributing to improving healthcare conditions for local residents.
At the ceremony, Dr. Nguyễn Hữu Thơ, Director of Nha Be Hospital, said: “The computers donated by the Lawrence S. Ting Foundation today will help improve the working conditions for our doctors and medical staff in tasks related to technology such as medical record keeping, prescription writing, and patient referrals, thereby better meeting the healthcare needs of the people. We are very grateful for the support and companionship of the Lawrence S. Ting Foundation with Nha Be Hospital, not only this time but also through many previous programs and activities.”
Mr. Nguyễn Hưng Thịnh, a member of the Lawrence S. Ting Foundation’s Management Board, shared: “Along with education, healthcare is a field that the Lawrence S. Ting Foundation focuses on and has many programs to support the community. Since its establishment in 2005, the Foundation has implemented many practical activities in the healthcare sector such as donating wheelchairs, building clinics, organizing free medical examinations and medicine distribution, and donating medical equipment. Recently, since 2021, the Foundation has implemented the ‘Our Better Angels’ project to improve educational conditions for 1,000 disabled children in the Mekong Delta region.
For many years, the Lawrence S. Ting Foundation has been honored to accompany Nha Be Hospital in taking care of the health of local residents through activities such as sponsoring the ‘dialysis unit,’ donating medical equipment, supporting medical examinations and treatment, and distributing medicine to the needy. And today, once again, the Lawrence S. Ting Foundation is honored to have the opportunity to contribute to improving community healthcare conditions by donating 10 sets of computers.”
