On the morning of January 20, 2024, The 19th Lawrence S. Ting Charity Walk 2024 – with the theme “Footsteps of Sharing”, took place at The Crescent, Phu My Hung, District 7, Ho Chi Minh City. Approximately 7,000 participants engaged in a 2.1 km walk, fostering a lively atmosphere with the objective of extending support to those in need.
This annual community event is organized by Phu My Hung Corporation in partnership with the People’s Committees of District 7, District 8, Nha Be County, and Binh Chanh County. Over the years, the walk has consistently upheld the ethos of promoting physical activity for health while fostering a culture of sharing within the community.
Through the collaborative advocacy of Phu My Hung and the four districts, counties, coupled with the generous contributions from individuals and businesses, the walk has successfully garnered a sum of VND 3.4 billion.
This year, the walk continues to attract charitable contributions from numerous businesses, including: Tan Thuan Corporation (VND 150 million), Phu My Hung Corporation (VND 150 million), Sino-Pacific Construction Consultancy Company (VND 150 million), DNS Asia Investment Company (VND 114 million), Lawrence S. Over 19 years from 2006 to 2024, The Lawrence S. Ting Charity Walk has engaged more than 230,000 participants. This collective effort has raised over VND 47 billion, making a tangible contribution to social welfare initiatives and addressing challenging circumstances within local communities. The millions of steps taken with shared purpose have cultivated a sense of community spirit, fostering support and solidarity for those facing adversity. This collective endeavor aims to provide encouragement and improved conditions for individuals in difficult situations, facilitating their upward journey in life.
